This is why new Corolla Cross models are driven by a powerful, yet ultra-economical 1.8-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 103 kW @ 6400 r/min and 172 Nm of peak torque at 4000 r/min. The self-charging hybrid models develop 72 kW @ 5200 r/min and 142 Nm @ 3600 r/min, with an additional 90 kW available from its electric motor throughout the rev range, pairing maximum
drivability with eco-consciousness.
Average fuel consumption is measured at a respective
6.8 ℓ/100 km and a wallet-friendly 4.3 ℓ/100 km for hybrid versions.
Both engines power the front wheels through a smooth, select-and-forget CVT transmission, ideal for the school run, the highway or getting you to your favourite holiday spot.

Step inside the spacious interior, and the immediate noticeable enhancement is the tactile improvement of the materials, stitching and carpets, available in two trim options, Black and Tera Rosa. All passengers can relax in style, with the rear seats now equipped with a reclining function as well as added rear aircon ducts on the Xi model.
To business: all models have been upgraded to incorporate Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity and three USB-C ports; as well as an easier-to-operate, space-saving push-button electronic handbrake; while the infotainment touchscreen on XS, XR and GR-Sport models has increased to 10-inches.
Similarly, the instrument cluster on XS models has grown to 7-inches, with XR and GR-Sport models treated to a fully digital 12-inch multi-information display. For an even more seamless driving experience, the vehicle is equipped with a push start button, as well as voice command through the roof microphone*.
Both the XR and GR-Sport now also incorporate a power rear door with a below bumper kick sensor for handsfree opening; and when steering into and out of parking bays in the future, drivers can look forward to a 360° top-down view of their vehicle in its surroundings with the Panoramic View Monitor, as well as adaptive cruise control and lane trace assist*. Xi models feature rear parking sensors, with the mid-level XS model updated to receive front sensors in addition to its existing rear ones, making maneuvering child’s play, any day.
